THORNTON BEVAN ARTS | ||
About us Founded in 1995 in London by artists Oliver Bevan and Pat Thornton, the gallery in Shepherds Bush, West London, offered many emerging painters a first London solo show. We helped to establish Paul Butler, James Judge, Lisa Wright and Susie Hamilton among others. Oliver Bevan was already an artist/curator, responsible for three major exhibitions on urban themes for public art galleries: The Subjective City, Witnesses & Deamers and The Motor Show. All of the artists we show have something distinctive to communicate about their lives and perceptions. Their work tends to occupy a territory between representation and abstraction and most of them have graduate or post graduate qualifications from top art colleges. Contact us in France by phone or email if you are looking for works by any of our current or previous artists. We will make the connection for you. artists represented Pauleen Aiers / Oliver Bevan / Joanna Brendon / Hilary Dymond / Maggie Jones / Fiona McClean / Susan Preston / Louise Sheridan / Pat Thornton Other artists shown in solo format Paul Butler / Judy Buxton / Mark Cazalet / Ann Finlayson / Antonia Glynne Jones / James Judge / Susie Hamilton / Timothy Morrison / Hassel Smith / Jilly Szaybo / Marion Thomson / Kate Wilson / Caro Woods / Lisa Wright / Partou Zia | |
